Here is a game show I came up with a while ago, that I just now got around to shooting a rough version of. It’s called Super Video Game Quiz Showdown Ultra HD as an homage to the ridiculously long names of games like Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix or teams like the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. In the future hopefully there will be some more going on to satisfy the senses, and this is a barebones ..read the full article
I haven’t enjoyed a baseball game since the original release of MLB All-Star Baseball on the Nintendo 64. Since then I’ve relied on classic Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball for my Super Nintendo for most of my baseball gaming. The 2000’s were not impressive in the baseball department by my standards, that is, until The Show came around. SCEA took the Major League license to the Sony Playstation while all the rest of the world was stuck with 2k’s idea of ..read the full article
A game for the split screen co-op crowd, but not really for anyone else. There’s certainly online capabilities, but when the gameplay is just a dummy version of Gears of War, it makes no sense to spend (precious) online hours on a lesser product. I have played both Army of Two games now, and while I completed the first game in no time, the second is certainly more challenging. It’s also less repetitive in battle structure, which helps a bit. ..read the full article

PSone Classic indeed.
One of the greatest cinematic experiences in gaming is now portable and only $5.99 (USD). Everything that was loved about the original (dual shock) version has been ported over brilliantly, and the creepy atmosphere remains despite the size of the screen. There have been complaints about the lack of support the PSP GO gets on the Playstation Network, but with games like this at such a great deal, I can understand why people would be rabid for as ..read the full article
I just recently acquired a PSP, so I’ll be adding a bit of the Sony flavor to the mix. The PSP is surprisingly deep with features, and downloading demos is easy as it is on the 360. The demo selection isn’t as wide, but there are some quality demos up before releases of games. This week I’ll be reviewing the current Metal Gear Solid demo selection, Peace Walker.
Peace Walker is pretty impressive for a portable game. I haven’t played Metal ..read the full article
Less than a year since I previewed the original, Left 4 Dead 2 has already become available in demonstration form. A lot has been made on whether or not the original needed a sequel so soon. Some say the new campaigns could have just been added as DLC, but after getting my hands on the new iteration in the series, it’s clear that more than just new characters, weapons, and maps were added. Don’t get me wrong, all that stuff is ..read the full article
If you don’t own RockBand, but want to, now would be a good time to make your move. MTV and Harmonix are selling the original RockBand’s bundle, plus a copy of RockBand 2 for $79 dollars even. No shipping, no tax (unless you live in certain areas I’m sure), and it’s delivered straight to your home. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions are the only options, but that’s probably the majority of console owners at this point anyway. The site ..read the full article
Here is my review for the best fighting game I’ve come across since the release of Marvel versus Capcom 2. Without further ado my review of UFC 2009: Undisputed.
Batman: Arkham Asylum: For starters, I just want to say that I’m glad to be back writing for my own blog again. I also want to say that I’m excited to see such an enjoyable game getting free DLC so soon after release. Batman: AA has been one of my favorite gaming experiences in a while, it captures atmosphere like no game I’ve played since my inaugural run through Bioshock. DLC is too commonly used to withhold parts of a ..read the full article

Ever since NHL 09 has received its latest update, I’ve been unable to enjoy myself during the game. Before that update, the game was my favorite on the market, but for some ungodly reason, EA Vancouver decided there weren’t enough penalties being called. As any hockey fan knows, you watch a game to see the players play, and not the referees call penalties. With that notion, I certainly DO NOT BUY GAMES TO SEE REFEREES CALL PENALTIES! I wish ..read the full article
As I sit here, staring down my copy of Resident Evil 5, unable to play due to lack of a television set, I’ve had to find other means to fulfill me gaming-wise. Sure, I could play my little sister’s DS, but turn based RPG’s just don’t call out to me like they may have in my youth, and that’s about all her collection features. I could also f around with the laws of the Internets, and grab some roms/emulators, but ..read the full article
As it stands, I’m without a television to hook my Xbox 360 too. That goes for literally every system I have at my disposal, no “telly.” The idiot in me traded in my DSLite a while ago, and I never had a PSP to get rid of in the first place. I’m down to this computer, and its measly graphics card, and the internet that comes and goes at its own whimsy. I’ve decided that instead of being bummed, I’ll ..read the full article
