Counter Strike – Condition Zero – Get the Classic FPS Action!

Nine years ago the market was hot for first-person shooter games and the idea was nothing but a resounding success. For this very reason when Counter Strike –Condition Zero was declared to be released back then, it was a general consensus that the game will be a hit. As a first-person shooting game, Counter Strike was seen by all as a magnet that will drag people from every where into online games. But if you have been following up on the game, you will agree that it has been moving along on a rough road. The game has been changing houses faster than how Speedy Gonzalez gets away from Sylvester! Soon after Valve Software started the project, the game traveled to Gearbox, then to Ritual Entertainment and then finally settled with Turtle Rock Studios.

But having mentioned all the problems while the development of the game was under way, most players found it unexpectedly pleasant, mostly thanks to the Artificial Intelligence offered in it. It goes without saying that the game has been hurt badly by the uncalled for delays in its release as no less than three technologically superior games have come along and captivated the market during this period. While Counter Strike offers a classic game-play which is second to none, its rivals have already overshadowed it.

Every person who has a passion for first-person shooter games has a little know-how as to what Counter Strike – Condition Zero has to offer, but for those FPS fanatics who have not had the chance to glance at the game, here is a brief review. Counter Strike is a team shooter game in which there is a face-off between the terrorists and the ‘counter-terrorists’. The game is round-based and currently game-play is offered in two modes namely, Bombing and Hostage Rescue. The ‘Bombing’ mode involves the terrorists planning to destroy certain locations by planting time bombs, and of course those sites are watched over by the counter-terrorists. While in ‘Hostage Rescue’ the terrorist team is holding civilians as hostages and the other team has to free them. Even by reading the make-over of the two modes you can easily imagine the loads of fun and excitement that players can catch! The exciting setup of both the game modes leads invariably to one of the teams ending up in a blood bath.

Moreover, your aesthetics are also appealed to as the ‘deleted scenes’ are also included in the Single-Player campaign. First worked on by Ritual Entertainment before giving off the game to Turtle Rock Studios, these ‘deleted scenes’ add a little traditional touch to the 12-mission action-packed missions. And shooters games fans will get a reminder of FPS back in 2000, through these ‘deleted scenes’ and they wouldn’t get any prize for answering what instigated the cancellation of the project by Ritual. But don’t let this point let you influence into missing this fabulous game!

If you love playing shooter games in multi-player mode, then Counter Strike will not disappoint you by any means as the game-play and excitement is quite the same. The fact is that Counter Strike is among the most favorite first-person shooter games and the reason being that it is classic when it comes to game-design and game-play. While many have the passion for playing games online, if you’re one of those who have a different taste, purchasing Counter Strike will be worthwhile for you. However, if you have had the bite of CS online, you need not spend money on buying Zero Condition as you will find no big difference.
