PC Game Review : Football Manager 2010

The battle of competing modes and graphics that FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer has little to do with the approach of the title from Sega, Football Manager 2010. We could say that this saga is the direct heir of the legendary football Dinamic Multimedia PC, a team manager whose database is the foundation of its gameplay, able to satisfy the craving of any amateur football the beautiful game, knows it or not game.

We chose for our departure to Sporting Gijon but you can choose any team 1st, 2nd and 2nd division B in Spain and other European leagues like English (United Kingdom), Italian or French.

As you know the Sporting de Gijón is a humble team with resources in both economic and fair players, but good quarry, plant and equipment subsidiary playing in 2nd B. In this case we have to organize both the Primera Ligue (or Ligue BBVA), as Sporting B and can pass youth players promises to be presented as the first team. Each season begins in July to coincide with your arrival as coach, having to appear before the press, hire technicians who will train the players, organizing tactics, the quarry, contracts and worry and the unique situation of society econcómica sports. And of course we must make clear what our goal for the season, in the case of Sporting is the permanence or, at best, end up in the middle of the table.

A good way to raise revenue is playing exhibition games against European teams, national or regional surprises and this is where the large database of Football Manager 2010, including teams like Ribadesella Luanco or those who have probably never heard . Includes the names of the players, their data and even the names of the coaches and the rest of the coaching staff and management. The same applies to foreign teams.

Our results depend on the preseason ticket sales for the remainder of the year and therefore our budget for signings. We can also provide players to other teams to pay their term or for assignment (thus avoiding paying the payroll) but be careful because players can take it badly if they are happy in the team and want to sell: its moral influence and the general atmosphere of the team.

When we have certain economic solvency can start looking signings to strengthen the staff. We can do so freely, looking for players of any team in the world or sending our scouts for us to submit their reports on the signings they consider more interesting for the team. Our advisers tell us that we need a right back and a striker. We sent from God and Iñaki Emilio Tejada to Look through the Brazilian and American Leagues respectively. Iñaki offers us a defense of a Dallas team but Emilio of God, it seems that it went really well in Brazil and it was very festive, we proposed as the very signing Ronaldo. Great. Of course we try to sign him because, despite its weight, remains magnificent player (as well as their statistics show that since his Dodge to evaluate his mental capacity) but not interested in Sporting because, in his own but virtual words, “would take a step back in my career. ”

Developments this year include simpler menus since the functionality has been revised, replacing the side menu for a more intuitive tab system. Also added a tool called Match Analysis gives us statistics of the matches already played, in order to evaluate the effectiveness of our team.

Changes are evident in the tactical component, now much more focused, and with the possibility of issuing instructions from the sideline snapshots of the field without interrupting the pace of the game. As for the meetings and their representation is the least important part of the game, because our role as coach is always passive (not control the players) but they are the weakest part of Football Manager 2010 at the end of the day, yet AI has been enhanced with new animations for the 3D mode, new stadiums, more variety in the audience of the steps, and better textures and lighting.

It took three seasons at Sporting Gijón put in the UEFA raising money, signing players wisely, holding tight to the quarry and of course, very lucky (we were about to be fired the first season when almost descend to 2nd team) but the feelings were, in general, superb. I really feel the pressure to lead a team supported by an addiction to not disappoint you, because your success depends on your support.

Football Manager 2010 hitch as few games because he has personality and recovers the spirit of the best management games 90s. To make matters worse there is an editor to add “by hand” more sources of players and teams and thereby increase the already extensive database. And of course the best thing is the accessibility of that is showing it can play almost any PC or Mac, even the less powerful as notebooks.

Tired of your team lose a match after another? What the coach remove inefficient players to do signings or meaningless? Maybe the president is spending all the money to Armani suits? Well, fix it with Football Manager 2010. Should improve in a couple of areas, including the match engine, and some bugs and there is a patch that fixes some of these mistakes, but what is clear is that this is an improvement over the previous edition in terms of functionality and of course updated. Without doubt the best football team managerial game for your PC is FM2010.
